The Rooms Upstairs in Sedona, Arizona, are very charming and intimate private motel-like accommodations with beautiful Sedona red rock views from each room.  The private patio terrace they share is a great place to relax and has some of the most beautiful red rock views in Sedona.

The Rooms Upstairs in Uptown, Sedona, are walking distance to the museum, Sedona Arts Center, many good restaurants and all of the uptown shops and amenities.

Both a queen or king room is available, and each has a kitchenette including refrigerator, microwave, silverware, dishes, coffee maker and toaster.  WiFi and parking are included.  They are perfect for long term stays, or just a special night away.

Review #11020572 “Goldmine in Uptown
Sedona”  2/9/15

This little gem is perfectly located in so many ways. It is just 1.5 blocks from the
main drag of Uptown Sedona's restaurants, attractions, shops, tours, etc, so once
you park your car, you are within walking distance of everything you need, which
means no cruising up and down main street trying to find a parking spot. Because
it is 1.5 blocks from the main area, it is quiet, peaceful and the shared (covered)
patio terrace is perfect for sipping your favorite drink, using the Webber grill or
just relaxing while watching the sunrise, sunset or enjoying the beauty of the Red

There are only two rooms. The Queen Room (queen size bed) and King Room
(king size bed), which is why I hate to write how great this place is, because then
it won't be available for us each time we visit Sedona. We stayed in the King
Room and the pictures and descriptions are true and exact. Along with the king
bed, there was a bistro table with chairs, a reading chair, and sitting bench-nook
area in front of a large window. The bathroom has a full size tub with shower
and was well equipped with soaps, shampoos and towels. The kitchenette had
a microwave, small fridge, toaster and a nice assortment of glasses, dishes,
silverware, cork screw, etc. We brought our own pastry's for breakfast, snacks
and drinks and used the microwave to heat up leftovers. The room also has
secured WIFI, just look on the business card holder, next to the TV for the name
 and password.

This room has many windows and they all open, which we took advantage of
during our February stay. For the price, location and everything the room has
to offer, you just can't beat this deal. Kimberly responded quickly to my
communications and provided all the information we needed via email. We will
definitely stay here again and again.

FYI - There is a great Japanese restaurant just 1 block (opposite direction of
the main drag) up from the room and it is very good. No hibachi grill, just very
good Japanese food and sushi. If you're not that hungry, get their "Takashi
Collection" which is a combination of their appetizers. It is excellent and filling.

Review #10924116 “Great Place, Good location”  1/23/15

Very nice, clean and quiet, excellent views on the second floor.
Easy to deal with, very clean and creative architecture (room is
upstairs of an architecture design firm and it shows!)

One of my favorite places to stay in sedona.

#9038059 “Quiet, close to Uptown, and
 on a budget! ”

We were traveling 7 days through AZ with 3 nights focused on Sedona for our
25th wedding anniversary. Not wanting to break the bank, but with most low
range hotels in the $200's plus I found TheRoomsUpstairs. The reviews led
me there and I am happy we booked. Kimberly is top notch with responding
to emails and offering advice and recommendations. The building is a
business downstairs and two rooms upstairs, free parking, and VERY easy
access by walk to Uptown. There is a shared patio, with chairs and grill but
we were alone so we had it to ourselves. Yes it overlooks another motel
behind you, but so will most of the Uptown hotels. It's a quaint little town built
into a mountain. And behind the motel is a gorgeous sunrise view of the
mountains. The room is spacious, quiet, clean, the bathroom large with
a soaking tub, and the kitchenette was all we needed for our 2 nights, mini frig, sink and wine glasses. We were vacationing and
if you go with the notion that you are barely in your room (go sightseeing,
that's what Sedona offers) you will be happy. If you are doing the Pink Jeep
tour, you can walk to their offices for pickup. (Under 5 mins). Right around
the corner is Theias, a coffee/light breakfast place for FAR more affordable
then downtown and she opens at 6:30 vs every place opens at 7 am. Right
up Jordan road is Jordan Park and a GORGEOUS all morning hike up
Brins Mesa. Absolutely a beautiful start to any day. Plenty of "glorified
fast food" places to eat uptown and an easy drive to the "must see while
in Sedona" $$$places. (Except Enchantment which is a 25 minute drive.
We found the Golden Goose up 89 which is a locals favorite and after a
disappointing meal at Enchantment, we canceled L'Auberge (creek side
dining would be rained out due to monsoon season and did I mention we
were on a budget???) And we ended up eating a WONDERFUL dinner at
Golden goose. Don't let exterior or location fool you. Sedona streets roll
up early and they closed at 8pm for dinner. (?) as do most places by 9-10.
I was very happy with choosing The Rooms Upstairs. For two couples who
want privacy and no hotel crowds, this would be ideal. Close to town, 89,
Slide rock! Pink jeep tours, restaurants, hikes, and all very affordable.

“Perfect "Arizona" getaway!”

Having only a few days to enjoy the surroundings, we
were searching for a local place that took on the feel of
the area and this little place did just that! It's one queen
bed, little kitchenette space offered just what we needed!
Located just off of the main street, we were in walking
distance from all of the shops and restaurants. Yet the
space was quiet for relaxing once we were back in our
room. The kitchenette was perfect for coffee, small
breakfasts that could be either toasted or heated in
microwave. The views from almost all of the windows
were of the mountains! Very lovely "Arizona" feel to the
adobe style place. We would stay again!

Room Tip: While there is a kitchen, plan on using it only
for convenience of small refrig, microwave and coffee...

“Best deal in Sedona!”
5 of 5 starsReviewed March 13, 2013 NEW (TripAdvisor)

This room cannot be beat! The location is simply amazing! We were able
to walk everywhere and the room is absolutely beautiful! Plenty of
space and the kitchenette is so handy to have! We even went out to
dinner with the tenants in the other room after meeting out on the patio
and sharing some wine. The area is quiet and even slept with the
windows open. You will not find anything in Sedona this nice at this

Review #5886210 "Perfect location for a wonderful experience"
February, 2013, Rating:

My girlfriend had never been to Sedona despite having a strong desire to do so.
After looking at all possible locations, rates, and room appeal, The Rooms
Upstairs were definitely the best find. Driving from Santa Barbara, CA which is
about 9 hours away, the decision to book here turned out to be a good one.
So relaxing to walk in the door and find such a cozy place! Located centrally,
most places are walking distance (although we drove alot due to the 30 degree
weather in December). The room itself (we stayed in the queen) had a peaceful
and warm aura. The shower is huge and the views are amazing. It is definitely
a place to relax after a long day of hiking, or even one that you can be lazy in
and not get cabin fever. The pictures are pretty accurate, although they still do
not do justice to the room or surrounding areas. This is a place I would stay
at again on my next trip to Sedona, whenever that may be. Highly recommend
The Rooms Upstairs!!

My wife's first time in Sedona and it was perfect!

The property was perfectly located to the best shopping and restaurants in Sedona
and we couldn't have timed it better to arrive on a beautiful day of 75 degrees and
wake up the next morning to 8 inches of snow on the red rocks! We have many great
pictures! This was my newly-wed wife's first time to Sedona and she loved the
setting with the great views and location. We walked everyday to the Wildflower
Bakery which has the best breakfast and lunch and even extended our stay at
the last minute because we were having such a great time. Thanks Kimberly,
we will be back!

“Wonderful stay!”

This was our third trip to Sedona and wish we would've known about The Rooms
Upstairs on our previous stays! The location is ideal - tucked away off of the main
road yet easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. The rooftop terrace is
wonderful with amazing views! It's a perfect place to have a drink after a day of
hiking and watch the sunset. There is a charcoal grill which was a nice touch so as
not to have to eat out every night. We stayed in the Queen room which was just
perfect - small refrigerator, coffee maker, dishes, etc. It was clean and well
appointed. There is no housekeeping service, but Kimberly makes herself available
for any needs you may have - all you have to do is call her. I can't say enough great
things about this place - we will definitely stay here on our next trip to beautiful

What a nice little find just a block behind 89a and the shops and such. We walked
everywhere :-) The room is oversized with a kitchenette and a half size fridge and
microwave. There is even coffee provided. We have stayed in many bed and
breakfasts and hotels in Sedona and this one is a wonderful fit for us. The spacious
patio is just devine, views from every angle. The room itself has decent linens and
southwest style furnishings, bathroom is huge and beautifully tiled. This would be a
sweet spot for couples. I especially liked the professional management of the inn,
ease of booking and fast, friendly email or phone replies. We'll be back, no really
we booked a second stay. Cheers

What a perfect place to stay! We stayed in the King Suite and it felt like our
home away from home. This was a 25th wedding anniversary trip from our
kids and was debating on whether or not this was going to be the right place
to stay while in Sedona. Couldn't have made a better choice, liked the fact
that is was private but within walking distance (a few blocks) from restaurants
and shops in Uptown. The room was very quaint not your typical hotel room,
the kitchenette was completely stocked with dishes, coffee maker w/coffee,
toaster and even wine glasses and a charcoal grill on the terrace! Liked the
fact that you weren't bothered with housekeeping, if you needed fresh linens
or towels all you had to do was give Kimberly a call. Beautiful views from the
private terrace and room. We did a lot of hiking and this was very centrally
located to all the trails, recommend the Brins Mesa hike right down the road
from the room. Would definitely visit beautiful Sedona again and would stay
no where else but the room upstairs!

Great find!

We enjoyed our stay at The Rooms Upstairs. The listing description is accurate
and the pictures reflect the beauty of the location. The room was very clean, roomy
and in a great location. I was able to walk to a couple of trail heads, dining and
shopping. Kimberly was very helpful with any questions that I had. I liked that there
were only 2 rooms upstairs and it was private. Nice baloncy area for sitting outside.
I would recommend this property and I would go back again!

Perfect Place to Stay

My husband and I stayed here for 6 days in early September and loved it. It's a great
alternative to a hotel as we wanted a more homey, private place to stay while in Sedona.
It's a block away from the main drag which is great because you can easily walk to
restaurants, shops, tourist outlets. But it's far enough away that it's very quiet at night.
We enjoyed the large deck throughout the day as it's partially covered and shade is lovely
in the middle of the day. The views of the red rock hills are gorgeous. We stayed in the
queen-bed suite and it was perfect for our needs. Because it has a small kitchen with fridge
and plates, etc., we often had our breakfast and sometimes lunch in the suite. It was so
relaxing to sit outside on the deck and enjoy our meals without having to go to a restaurant
for every meal. The people who run the suites are lovely and helpful. We highly
recommend these suites and will definitely return.

What a great find! My wife and I took a weekend to escape the Phoenix summer heat and
we enjoyed staying in "The Room Upstairs". We stayed in the queen bed room and the room
was cozy with plenty of space, a fridge, coffee maker, microwave and other convenient
items. The views from the patio are fantastic and we enjoyed walking to anything you
need in town. Highly recommend this place for a comfy stay!

This room was very charming and private, but best of all the location is fabulous!
Everything we needed was in walking distance. Our favorite was the amazing Sedona
views with a glass of wine on the patio. Wow!

Booking this gem of a place was one of the easiest things we have ever done. Our host
were incredibly efficient and friendly. The space was magical and they were not kidding,
the views were fantastic!!!!!! I could not have imagined a better place to stay in Sedona!
The location is superb with everything we needed in walking distance. We loved the
outdoor space and actually did school work there while looking at the majestic views!
What better place to work a term paper and feel so at peace at the same time! We almost
did not want to write a review for fear that it would be constantly booked when people
realize how amazing a space this is, but they deserve the kudos!!!! We plan on using this
place as a base for our trips to both Sedona and Flagstaff! Thank you for such a wonderful
memory.....and many more to come!!!
